It’s always exciting when someone I know is getting married, and even more exciting when they ask me to photograph their wedding. Abby and I went to school together way back in the day up through junior high when I moved to a different school. Several years later, I receive an email from her saying she’s getting married and would like me to photograph her big day. The session was such a blast, no only was it a great time to catch up with Abby, but I got to know her fiance, Dustin, a little more and on top of that we were able to shoot at such a beautiful location at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville.
When we met to talk about their big day, they mentioned how they were in the Edwardsville area and I was immediately on board when they wanted engagement pictures down there. The campus is amazing and with the Fall season upon us, the colors are even better down there. Of course, it hardly felt like Fall with the 85 degree temperature, it was perfect shorts weather. The heat didn’t seem to put a damper on anything. Dustin and Abby still dressed in their fall clothing and were able to tough through the sweat, because sweatshirts and 85 degrees really don’t mesh too well. 🙂
I had such a fun time with these two, and loved having a chance to reconnect/build a friendship with them. The day was absolutely perfect as well as the location. The wedding day will be here in no time, and I so look forward to it!! Congrats you two on the engagement!
