Krista and Dan were again another example of out some smiles and some love can brighten up any cloudy day. It’s couples like these two that you get truly genuine smiles… yes, you can tell a difference. Fortunately, it was a little warmer the day of their engagement shoot – almost on the verge of sweat level heat. I wanted to take them to a new part of Effingham that I hadn’t really shot at, and since they were dressed up, I thought we should find some dirty, gritty buildings; the contrast is just amazing. We started by shooting on the doorstep of a brick building with a white door, packing up and moving to the next spot we looked around the corner and it was a corner of dark brick meeting a white cracked, dirty wall. It was perfect. And it was great seeing a new part of Effingham from a different perspective.
Krista requested some green pictures with trees and grass, my first thought was “where on earth are we going to find that downtown?” But to my amazement there were actually a few strips of green grass and trees, and the pictures turned out wonderfully!
