Keli-Kelly // Brownstown, IL Wedding Photographer

Time goes by way too fast!! It seems like it was just yesterday we were doing Kelly and Keli’s engagement session! This was also the first wedding I had shot by myself in about 1.5-2 years – so it definitely took me back to my early days when I did everything myself. It was kind of cool having nostalgia shooting a wedding. These two mentioned before the start of their wedding that it would be a quick wedding, to me, a quick wedding is about 20 minutes or so, so I’m preparing my locations for the pictures in accordance to that. However, when they said quick wedding, they literally meant QUICK! The entire ceremony lasted right at 10 minutes, so I felt like at times I was sprinting in the church, would that have been a sight to see or what?!

You could not have asked for a better day for a wedding. Leading up to their date it was pretty cold and windy and then on Saturday it warmed up a bit and with all the cold we had the fall colors were in full effect. Tons of yellows, oranges, and even some reds still. It provided just enough shade to cover up the harshness of the afternoon soon, but let in enough light that the pictures turned out amazing! While it’s me who adjusts the settings in camera to get the pictures how I want them, I’m just going to go ahead and give full credit to God for providing us with an amazing day for pictures, because it was literally too perfect!

Their reception brought back some memories for me as they are friends with Travis and LeAnna who had their reception in the same building and I have not been back there since their wedding day, so it was pretty cool being back. I also learned that Kelly and Keli met at Travis and LeAnna’s wedding, that or it was their wedding that they started to kick things off together – it’s one or the other, but both have their own kind of Nicholas Sparks type story to them. 🙂 I had a great time working with these two, and it was definitely a great way to wrap up the end of a wedding year (only one more wedding to go).
