I love when days are just perfect for pictures, and I love when the locations are equally as perfect. Dave and Kelsey’s pictures took place at the family farm, and have I ever mentioned how I love family farms for pictures? Especially the ones that have been around a while. 🙂 The rust, the old sheds, equipment, etc. It all makes for some amazing pictures, and when you have a nice orange glow from an evening sun it makes it that much better. I met with Dave and Kelsey some time ago to talk about their wedding and Dave is a little bit of a shutter bug himself and explained the importance of pictures to them and for me, as a photographer this is huge. I absolutely love when couples view their pictures as a top priority. I’m not coming from a prideful perspective at all, I just feel that because pictures are just about the only thing left after the wedding day, I should be sure to capture/create the absolute best pictures possible so that you have nothing but great memories to remember from your big day. So of course after Dave and Kelsey expressed the importance of them, I was definitely excited to have the opportunity to photograph their big day. The engagement session is equally as important, at least in my opinion. Because as the photographer, this time allows me a chance to get to know the couple on a more personal level and I get to see what the couple like, how they joke around, and so on. It’s a blast watching couples, and in this case Dave and Kelsey, express their love to each other whether it’s them standing in a crazy pose or laughing together, it’s always so much fun! I definitely look forward to capturing all the memories from their wedding day… until then, I’ll leave you with a teaser from their engagement session.
