Sarah+Jeremiah // Altamont, IL Engagement Pictures

I know, I know – I’m starting to sound like a broken record by this point, but I absolutely love fall. The morning of Sarah and Jeremiah’s engagement session it was pretty cloudy and gloomy and I was actually beginning to get upset thinking we wouldn’t have the bright oranges, reds and yellows. With the cloud coverage we had, the colors were looking very dull, but literally the moment they pulled up to me and got out of their vehicle it became sunny and it even warmed up a few degrees, which was much needed on a cool Fall day.

Sarah had plans for a fall shoot quite some time ago, and I don’t blame her, fall sessions are the best. However they are so extremely busy for me, not only with weddings, but obviously EVERYONE wants an engagement session in fall! Thankfully though, I had one Saturday morning available, it was extremely difficult to make it work, but it was totally worth it. These two were a blast to work with, and I felt so comfortable around them. No lie, most engagement sessions it typically takes a little while for the couple to open up to me and vice versa even. For a short period we are getting to know each other a bit and then near the end of the session, you’d think we were best friends! But Sarah and Jeremiah are the type that you talk with them for a minute and you feel like you’ve known them your whole life. This type of personality is great for pictures too because they were able to open up and show their personalities in the pictures. The pictures turned out great and it’s definitely quite clear that these two enjoy each other and love being with each other. It was nothing but laughter pretty much the entire session, and as I’m sure I have said a hundred times before, I LOVE laughing pictures, especially with couples because isn’t that what you’d rather have to look at as a couple? Pictures of the two of you having fun together? Maybe this is just me, but pictures standing and smiling at the camera are nice and all, but pictures with emotion – those moments are truly priceless.
