What an amazing day for a wedding! The weather was perfect with a bright blue sky, a few clouds, a tad windy – but I’m not complaining. 🙂 I was very much looking forward to spending more time with Seth and Karli. What an awesome couple these two are. It feels like just yesterday we were photographing their engagement session and I seriously don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much during an engagement session as I did with Seth and Karli. The way these two joke around and laugh together is just contagious! So I knew coming into their wedding day that there would be much laughter, joking, and even a little sarcasm. 🙂
This was also the first wedding, minus my sister’s, that I have photographed that I was able to capture some of the rehearsal. Mainly because rehearsal took place just a couple hours before the wedding. 🙂 I’m all for that, because there should be no excuse for anything going wrong, hello! Another reason I was a fan, as a photographer, was I was able to not only capture some amazing candid moments but I was also able to find some pretty cool angles and get my settings perfectly. Most weddings the church lighting is not the same before the wedding as it is, which isn’t a huge deal, I mean I am a photographer, so I’m ready for the unexpected… not sure if that makes sense. 🙂 However, having my settings just right saved a step.
The wedding went fabulous! It was a small and intimate wedding with family and friends, and of course they had a large reception the next night, just like celebrities. Multiple cities, lots of parties, the whole kit and kabootle. As Seth and Karli made their exit everyone was given sparklers to hold. I know that this is a fairly common thing, but I’ve never had the opportunity to capture this, mainly because summer weddings practically end with plenty of daylight. But with the sun setting sooner, we were able to get some well lit, very neat looking sparkler pictures.
CONGRATS to Seth and Karli. I had an absolute blast with you two, and I know there are great things for you two in the future!!
