Travis & Janelle // Teutopolis, IL Wedding Photography

I love when couples change things up from the norm. Because here’s my opinion (I know you’re wanting it. lol); there is no such thing as tradition. This is the beginning of your lives together so whatever you do on this day is technically YOUR tradition, whatever you do on the day of your wedding is unique to you. It’s funny because no matter where you get married, or where have your reception, every wedding is different – every bridal party is different. And can I just say, a fun bridal party is just that; fun! But we’ll get to that in a second

This was one of the earliest weddings I’ve had to begin shooting this year. I met Janelle at 7:00 a.m. while she was getting her hair and make-up done, and what an enjoyable time this was. I absolutely love the preparation time. All the stories and laughter that come from it – it’s just a great time! After some time of shooting preparation shots we headed toward St. Francis church in Teutopolis, IL. St. Francis is such a beautiful church and never fails to provide some amazing pictures. After the wedding, we spent a good hour and a half or maybe even two hours with pictures. As a side note: I LOVE THIS! Pictures were extremely important to Travis and Janelle and they did not care how much time it took, they wanted some great pictures. And did we get some fun pictures!!! First of Travis is a firefighter, a lot of his groomsmen were too. So it only makes sense that they bring their equipement with them and suit up for some pictures. And not just the groomsmen, the bridesmaids as well. Look below, tell me those aren’t some of the baddest bridesmaids you’ve ever seen. 🙂

Working with Travis and Janelle was such a blast. And the fact that the pictures were very important to them warms my heart as a photographer (of course) and it allowed us to captures some very unique and very fun pictures. Travis and Janelle, I wish you two the best, and thank you again for choosing me as your wedding photographer. It was truly an honor. 🙂
